Tax issues are increasingly global, and international co-operation is necessary for any country to protect its tax base. At the same time, countries within specific regions often face similar challenges, making a regional approach to understanding the needs of a wide range of stakeholders both effective and efficient.
The OECD, in collaboration with Regional Tax Organisations and Development Banks, hosts regular regional events to share information, engage stakeholders, and gather feedback on critical international tax matters.
These engagements began in the early stages of the OECD/G20 Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Project and have since become a core part of the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework on BEPS. The topics under discussion adapt to address pressing tax priorities in a particular region, fostering more relevant and impactful engagement.
Please note that these events are designed to bring government officials together.
