On Thursday 23 January 2025, the OECD, through its Clean Energy Finance and Investment Mobilisation (CEFIM) Programme and Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) jointly held a one-day Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in-person in Jakarta.
This workshop was the third of a series of OECD-OJK workshops on the topic of transition finance and planning. The previous FGD was held virtually on 17 May 2024 to kick-off this work and it convened more than 300 participants, including representatives of Indonesia’s government, financial institutions, industry associations, corporates, academia and research organisations.
The objectives of this FGD were:
- to present the draft research and recommendations for the development of Transition Planning Guidelines for financial institutions, issuers and publicly listed companies in Indonesia;
- to discuss on the latest regulatory initiatives and good practices on credible climate transition plans, as well as on the progress and challenges of Indonesian financial institutions and corporates in setting net-zero targets and developing transition plans.
