The OECD will present the Ocean Economy to 2050 on Monday 31 March during the SOS Ocean summit in Paris.
The ocean economy plays a vital role in creating jobs, fuelling development, and ensuring food security for millions worldwide. However, climate change, environmental degradation, lagging productivity, and slow digital transformation are intensifying pressure on marine ecosystems and economic potential.
The new OECD report provides the latest data, analysis, and insights on the ocean economy and explores potential pathways for its development through 2050.
OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann will present the report at 10:30am CET at the Musée National de la Marine. Information on how to follow the presentation and following interactive panel will be made available here.
The report will be published at 10:30am CET at the following link, which can be included in news articles: here.
