Cities are key drivers of economic growth in OECD countries, yet access to jobs, housing, education and essential services remains uneven across urban areas.
The What works for inclusive growth in cities online tool is an OECD resource providing access to case studies of policies implemented across OECD and EU cities to drive inclusive growth. It shows how governments address inequalities across areas such as education, labour markets, housing, infrastructure and services.
These real-world examples help policymakers and practitioners identify effective approaches to expand opportunities, strengthen economic performance and improve residents’ well-being.
The tool was developed as part of the OECD What Works for Inclusive Growth in Cities initiative, with support from the European Commission.
