Panel on risk thresholds for frontier AI
The OECD and the UK AI Safety Institute (AISI) are co-organising a session titled “Thresholds for Frontier AI” as part of the AI, Science and Society Conference, a satellite event of the AI Action Summit. This session will explore how thresholds can (or cannot) inform risk assessments and governance of advanced AI systems, as well as how they are currently set in practice.

Launch of global framework to monitor application of G7 Hiroshima AI Code of Conduct
The OECD will launch the first global framework for companies to report on their actions and policies to promote safe, secure, and trustworthy AI. This initiative to monitor the application of the Hiroshima Process International Code of Conduct for Organisations Developing Advanced AI Systems will represent a significant step forward in advancing international AI governance, reinforcing the G7's ongoing commitment to promoting safe, secure and trustworthy development, deployment and use of advanced AI systems.

Using algorithmic management in the workplace: New evidence from an OECD employer survey
The OECD is launching a new report on the use of algorithmic management tools (i.e. software to instruct, monitor or evaluate workers), assessing their prevalence, their impacts, and current measures used by firms to ensure their trustworthy use. The report draws on a novel survey of over 6 000 firms in six OECD countries and reveals that algorithmic management tools are already widespread.

Launch of Global Risk and AI Safety Preparedness (GRASP) project at AI Safety Connect 2025
This mapping of AI Safety technologies and tools, led by the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, will be published on OECD.ai as part of project SAFE at Global Partnership on AI (GPAI). The event will focus on the interplay between technical AI safety work and international AI governance and will feature panels on international co-operation in AI safety, AI Safety Institute (AISI) co-ordination, and AI safety at frontier labs.

International Data Governance and Privacy in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
The OECD, Korea’s Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) and France’s Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) are hosting two high-level roundtables on international data governance and privacy in the context of AI. The OECD report “Enhancing Access to and Sharing of Data in the Age of AI” will be launched during the first roundtable. Heads of data protection authorities will explore the application of privacy and data protection principles to AI during the second roundtable, with the aim of promoting responsible innovation and trustworthy AI.
