The OECD Emerging Markets Forum provides a platform for cross-regional dialogue between OECD Members and partner countries to bridge policy gaps and advance shared solutions to global issues. The event will be hosted by the OECD Istanbul Centre and the Government of Türkiye.
The inaugural Forum will focus on sustainable infrastructure and leveraging connectivity to build resilient value chains. This in turn encourages competitiveness, leading to sustainable economic development.
The event will bring together high-level policy makers, including ministers and vice ministers from OECD member and non-member countries. Following opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Trade Minister of Türkiye and OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann, discussions will cover strengthening multilateral co-operation, supporting sustainable infrastructure, developing multi-modal transport corridors and promoting successful value chain integration.
