The Climate Change Expert Group (CCXG) Global Forum, organised by the OECD and the IEA, aimed to promote dialogue, and enhanced understanding among a wide range of countries on key issues relevant to the international climate change negotiations and implementation of the Paris Agreement.
The sessions in this Global Forum focused on issues relating to adaptation indicators under the UAE-Belém work programme and early insights from biennial transparency reports (BTRs) to inform the next round of nationally determined contributions (NDCs).
The sessions on adaptation indicators were jointly organised with the Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience team in the OECD’s Environment Directorate.
The session on leveraging adaptation indicators to connect national monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems with UNFCCC reporting processes was organised in partnership with the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) Global Network / International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD).
There were also discussions on relevant recent OECD and IEA work.
