The OECD and SIC ICWC co-organised a Policy Dialogue on Water Finance and Technologies in Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Water Resources of Uzbekistan and the Asia Water Council on 11 December 2024.
The meeting promoted discussions on the enabling environment for financing water security, barriers to PPP in Uzbekistan’s water sector and the opportunities for improving the technical efficiency of water management.
There was a clear call for us to further strengthen the recommendations around PPP on water use in agriculture, which we will try to do as this dialogue concludes in the first quarter of 2025.
