The 40th Annual Meeting of the Food Crisis Prevention Network (RPCA) will take place on 17-20 2024, in a hybrid format, both in Nouakchott, Mauritania, and via videoconference (Zoom).
Description
Members of the Network will have the opportunity to assess the food and nutrition situation (FNS) in the region based on the provisional results of the 2024-2025 agropastoral campaign, as well as trends in agricultural markets.
In light of the ongoing food crises in the region, the Network is adopting a long-term resolution strategy, centered around a three-year theme focused on strengthening the effectiveness of responses to food crises, particularly through the overhaul of approaches to managing and preventing food and nutrition crises.
Objective
The objective of this meeting is to evaluate the current food and nutrition situation in the region based on the latest agropastoral campaign data, discuss agricultural market trends, and establish a long-term strategy to enhance the effectiveness of responses to food crises, with a focus on innovative approaches for managing and preventing such crises over the next three years.
