Under the title “Making Migration and Integration Policies Future Ready”, Ministers responsible for migration and integration issues from all OECD countries and from selected non-OECD countries had the opportunity to exchange their views on their countries’ challenges, opportunities, and best practices in a Ministerial Meeting held on 17 January 2020 in Paris.
Notably Ministers addressed:
• Innovative Approaches to managing Economic Migration
• Partnerships to improve Migration Enforcement and Compliance
• Innovative Approaches to Integration
• Engaging the Whole of Society and Improving Co-ordination
Ministers also set their priorities for Migration and Integration Policy work of the OECD.
Furthermore, under the title “Building a Whole-of-Society Approach to Emerging Migration and Integration Challenges”, the High-Level Policy Forum provided an opportunity to engage in a conversation about various migration and integration topics with ministers, senior officials and a wide range of stakeholders, including leaders from the business community, academics and representatives from civil society.
