The Policy Action Tool is part of the Housing Policy toolkit. It allows users to explore the complex and connected societal, economic and environmental factors that shape housing markets. It allows policy makers to identify strengths and shortcomings in their housing policies and make informed choices when designing national housing strategies.

The OECD has assembled 22 actions to make housing more efficient, more inclusive and more sustainable. They are divided into four policy fields: Taxation, Spending, Regulation and Urban planning.
