New Perspectives on Childhood champions childhood as a unique stage of life rather than just a precursor to adulthood. We are learning about how childhood is changing. To do that, we are looking at four main areas: physical health, mental wellbeing, families and peers, and new technologies.
New Perspectives on Childhood
Children are their own people, have the right to a say in decisions that affect them, and deserve the chance to learn for themselves—including by making mistakes. The New Perspectives on Childhood project is about ways to promote flourishing through childhood. By sharing effective practices in child empowerment, the OECD is working towards better lives right from the start.
